Are you ready for a totally crazy, extremely smart, all-women, Woo-Hoo! Weekend?
No question, there are plenty of xy chromosome pairs on campus. But this weekend is all about the wonderful women of Michigan Tech! You’ll meet current students and faculty and get to experience first-hand what it’s like to be a Husky—everything from staying in the residence halls to snowshoeing the Tech Trails.
We’d love to have you join us for Woo-Hoo! Weekend at Michigan Tech! This is an excellent opportunity for you to get to know the real Michigan Tech before you make your final college decision. Hint: it’s not all guys with pocket protectors and hours spent inside avoiding winter.
How to Participate: Participation is by invitation only to women who have been accepted to Michigan Tech, and attendance is limited. There is no cost for accepted students other than transportation to and from campus. A limited amount of student travel funding is available on a competitive basis.
Program Dates: Friday and Saturday, November 7-8, 2014
Deadline to Register: October 17, 2014. Space is limited and will be granted to students in the order in which reservations are received.
Housing: All Woo-Hoo! Weekend participants will stay in our residence halls with a current female student host for Friday night. Meals, bedding and linens, and complimentary admission to events and activities will be provided.
Parents and Family Members: Programming will be provided for parents and families traveling to campus with their student. On-campus housing is not provided for family members but there are many local lodging options available.
