Advanced Placement Credit Guide
For students entering Michigan Tech during the 2012–2013 school year.

The Advanced Placement (AP) program, a service of the College Board,
allows students to earn college credits while they are still in high school.

*Students scoring 4 or higher on both economics exams will receive 3 credits for EC 2001 and 3 credits for UN 2002 or 3 credits for unassigned economics credit (if already receiving credit for UN 2002).

†Students accepted into the Honors Institute at Michigan Tech are required to take a special section of
UN 1001. Instead of receiving AP credit for UN 1001, students will receive 3 credits for UN 2001. If an Honors Institute student takes both AP English Literature and Composition and AP Language and Composition exams, he or she will receive 3 credits for UN 2001 and 3 credits of approved humanities electives.

Official Advanced Placement scores must be submitted to Michigan Tech directly from the testing agency. Our school code is 1464.
